On August 31, Billboard has officially announced that BTS‘s Dynamite has entered Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ chart, placing #1!

Billboard chart is the ranking of most popular songs people listen to in the Unite States and the chart includes all streaming genres, radio airplay and sales data. They have made a new history since BTS is the first Korean group to achieve the highest ranking on Billboard chart!

According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, ‘Dynamite’ achieved 33.9 million U.S. streams and 300,000 sales in its first week (from August 20 to August 27). Also, 265,000 downloads were sold in the first week and by including vinyl and cassette physical versions, it reached up to 300,000 sales. Moreover, the song gained 11.6 million radio airplay audience impressions in the following week.

Meanwhile, on August 30, BTS performed ‘Dynamite’ for the first time on ‘2020 MTV Video Music Awards’ and swept all the awards they were nominated for; Best Pop, Best choreography, Best Kpop, and Best group!
