On July 4, FNC Entertainment has officially announced that Jimin will be leaving AOA. Here is a following statement from the agency:
“This is FNC Entertainment.
First, we would like to apologize for causing concern to many people through the events related to Jimin that have been unfolding recently.
Jimin has decided to leave AOA from this moment and will not be working in the entertainment industry anymore.
Additionally, our agency accepts responsibility for this entire situation, and we will put our full focus on managing our artists in the future. Once again, we apologize for causing concern through these unfortunate matters.”
Meanwhile, former AOA member, Mina posted on her Instagram that Jimin had been bullying her for years before and after debut. They were in the same agency for about 10 years. Mina later revealed that Jimin had visited her in person to talk things out and apologize, but even when she was apologizing, Mina was not sure if the apology was sincere. In addition, Jimin posted an apology on Instagram on July 4, to which Mina responded with a now-deleted post.
